The training process at Barca Academy is implemented in a single planning and training system under the strict supervision of La Masia, the Main Academy of FC Barcelona.
For more than 20 years now, FC Barcelona Football Academy has been confidently spreading its methodology and philosophy all over the world, being the prime example in training, developing and employing its best practices in the football industry.
Team of professionals
The Head Coach of Barca Academy Russia is Jordi Gratacos Gayola, a professional football manager with a UEFA Pro license, the highest rated in world football.
He obtained this license after serving a long time as Head Coach of the Spanish Football Federation.
All training sessions, starting with the warm-up jog and ending with the game tactical analysis, are held with the ball.
Each practice session and each exercise has a specific purpose. The coaching staff makes up a detailed training plan that is then strictly implemented in the learning process.
It does not matter whether the team is attacking or defending, or whether the players are experienced or simply beginners; the main thing is being able to think, to analyze what is happening on the field here and now. This is the goal of our training.
Every mistake is an invaluable lesson. Mistakes and failures are an integral part of the learning process. If players were never wrong, there would be no champions. It is important to handle faults properly, and use them as a catalyst for personal growth.
The coach plays a crucial role in the player's self-esteem, trust and patience are crucial in order to develop the player's hidden talent.
One needs to explain as many times as it is required: no more, no less. By revising materials and analyzing mistakes, we can retain the correct reaction of the player to the comments and develop his body's memory so that he can instantly make the right moves on the field.
The whole team looks up to the coach, so you cannot unleash your emotions. Our coaching staff always keeps calm, taking care of the young men's mentality.
Everyone at the academy helps each other not just in word, but with actions, because each player is part of a team. One of the core values of the senior Barcelona is respect for yourself and your opponent. We remain true to these traditions.
We try to instill a winner mentality to our players both on and off the pitch. All the students of the academy are trained in order to raise tournament cups over their heads and climb to the top step of the pedestal. However, each of them knows that the sweetest victory is victory over one’s own limitations. Continuous progress is the main weapon of champions.
The coaching staff always supports an individual approach to the players, because the most important task of the Academy is cultivating each player’s personal abilities. Our mission is to develop each player’s hidden strengths.
The training is carried out strictly following the plan developed by the coaching staff led by the Head Coach, which includes both training and tournaments, as well as theoretical coaching.
